At Chiltern Railways, we believe in the power of partnership to create positive change in our communities. Our charity support programme encompasses multiple initiatives designed to help charitable organisations make a bigger impact across our network.
As a train operating company, we're uniquely positioned to connect communities and facilitate charitable work across our network. We understand that charities play a vital role in addressing social challenges, supporting vulnerable individuals, and building stronger communities. That's why we've developed a comprehensive approach to charity support that goes beyond traditional corporate giving.
Our commitment to charitable causes stems from our belief that as a transport provider, we're not just moving people from A to B – we're part of the social fabric of every community we serve.
Our current charity partner: The Marylebone Project
Our charity partner for April 2025 – March 2027 is The Marylebone Project, who are dedicated to helping homeless and vulnerable women by providing them with a safe space, practical support, and the resources they need to rebuild their lives. Their mission is to offer a range of services, including housing, advice, and empowerment programs, to help women overcome the challenges they face and create brighter futures.
We have worked together on many exciting initiatives. We had the pleasure of collaborating with The Marylebone Project in launching the Marylebone on Display art exhibition in 2024, which took place on the platforms at Marylebone Station. This unique exhibition showcased a collection of artworks by local artists, with the aim of raising awareness for homelessness and vulnerable women.
Chiltern Railways provides financial assistance and practical support to our charity partner:
- Donations from lost property sales – unclaimed items left at our stations are put to good use, with proceeds donated to partners
- Customer contributions through delay repay – passengers can choose to donate their compensation through our online portal
