Chiltern Railways is once again offering free travel to customers participating in the 2019 London Marathon on Sunday 28 April 2019.
The offer is valid for travel on Sunday 28 April only, and runners wishing to take advantage will be required to show a valid race number to staff at the gateline and on the train.
In addition, Chiltern will also operate the following additional early morning services:
- 06.40 Banbury – Marylebone
- 07.00 Aylesbury – Marylebone (via High Wycombe)
David Heathfield, Head of Corporate Affairs at Chiltern Railways said, “The 2019 London Marathon is such an iconic event which raises so much money for great causes. That’s why at Chiltern Railways we’re putting on extra trains and more carriages to help spectators go to support their friends and family on the route. Our free travel for runners will help to get runners to the start line and tired legs home.”
