Storm Eunice Travel Advice

Tickets from Friday 18 February

Last update:  08:47 19th Feb 2022

Services on Saturday and the weekend - PLEASE CHECK YOUR  JOURNEY BEFORE YOU TRAVEL

  • Whilst we have worked hard overnight with Network Rail to reopen the network following Storm Eunice, there's still a risk of disruption on Saturday. Although we aim to resume service as close to normal as possible, please anticipate disruption on Saturday morning.
  • Services will be very busy on Saturday, as customers return to make journeys that were not possible on Friday.

Up to date journey information can be found on our JourneyCheck page.

Advice

If you bought your ticket for Friday 18 February, you can use it on Saturday 19 February or Sunday 20 February at no extra cost. You can also use it on Monday 21 February, but please note, Peak and Off Peak restrictions will still apply on Monday. Alternatively, you can apply for a fee-free refund from the original retailer.

Please note:

Customers making long journeys on Saturday may find that their expected journey is difficult to complete due to planned engineering work or industrial action taking place elsewhere.

Many of our trains are usually very busy on a Saturday already. As we use all of our available trains and carriages, it will not be possible for us to provide additional capacity on Saturday.

Season ticket holders: In circumstances where we issue a ‘Do not Travel’ advisory message to our customers and a customer chooses not to travel as a result of this, then our Passenger’s Charter sets out the special arrangements that apply to Season ticket holders. In these circumstances, Season ticket holders can claim compensation to the value of one Anytime Return ticket. Season ticket holders should submit any claims via our contact us page. Please state ‘Storm Eunice’ in the ‘Provide Detail’ box.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
