Major Weekday Engineering 20-23 June - Buses will replace trains on some routes

Monday 20th - Thursday 23rd June 2022

The line between Birmingham Snow Hill, Moor Street and Dorridge stations will be closed for essential planned engineering work by Network Rail.

A heavily amended timetable will be in place and there will be no through trains between London Marylebone and Birmingham for the four days.

Most journeys will take considerably longer than usual and may involve travel via alternative routes, on other operator's services and/or rail replacement bus services.

Buses will operate instead of trains as follows:

  • Chiltern rail replacement service between Dorridge - Solihull - Birmingham International (for connecting trains to/from Birmingham New Street).
  • WMT rail replacement service between Dorridge - Birmingham Snow Hill, calling at all stations.

Suggested alternative routes:

  • Cross Country trains may be used between Banbury - Leamington Spa and Birmingham New Street (via Coventry)
  • Other alternative operator services will be confirmed soon.

Please check before you travel. Allow extra time for your journey and, where possible, people affected by the engineering works are advised to plan to work from home during this time.
