MAJOR ENGINEERING WORKS

Planned engineering works will be taking place at multiple locations on Chiltern Railways routes, and a heavily-amended timetable will be in operation. In particular, no trains will operate to/from London Marylebone.

Most journeys will take considerably longer than usual, and may involve travel via alternative routes, on other operator's services and/or rail replacement bus services.

A limited train service will operate on the following route sections:

  • West Ruislip - stations to Oxford.
  • West Ruislip - stations to Bicester North (until approx 11:30).
  • West Ruislip - stations to Banbury (from approx 11:30).
  • Princes Risborough - stations to Aylesbury.
  • Amersham - stations to Aylesbury Vale Parkway.
  • Warwick Parkway - stations to Birmingham Moor Street.

Rail Replacement buses will operate on the following route sections:

  • Bicester North - Banbury - Leamington Spa - Warwick - Warwick Parkway (until approx 11:30).
  • Banbury - Leamington Spa - Warwick - Warwick Parkway (from approx 11:30).
  • Bicester North - Kings Sutton - Banbury (until approx 11:30).
  • Banbury - Stratford Upon Avon.
  • Leamington Spa - Warwick - Stratford Upon Avon Parkway - Stratford Upon Avon.

Additionally, late night services to Banbury (after midnight) will be replaced by buses between Princes Risborough/Bicester North and stations to Banbury.

London Underground services should be used between Baker Street and stations to Amersham, and also between central London, Wembley Central, Northolt, South Ruislip and West Ruislip.

Finalised timetables are uploaded into online journey planners 9 weeks before the date of operation. Any journey checked outside of this timescale may be subject to change; please double-check how these amendments are due to affect your travel plans. For some engineering works and special events at Wembley Stadium, timetables may be released closer to the date of operation.
