MAJOR ENGINEERING WORKS

Due to planned Network Rail engineering works, the railway will be closed between Wembley Stadium and High Wycombe, and also between Warwick Parkway and Solihull all day. There will be no through trains between Marylebone and Gerrards Cross/Beaconsfield/High Wycombe, nor between Marylebone and Bicester Village/Oxford, nor between Marylebone and Birmingham. Passengers may need to travel via alternative routes, use other operator's services and/or on rail replacement buses. Most journey times will be considerably longer than usual.

A limited train service will operate on the following route sections:

  • Marylebone - stations to Aylesbury Vale Parkway (via Amersham).
  • High Wycombe - stations to Warwick Parkway.
  • High Wycombe - stations to Oxford.
  • Princes Risborough - stations to Aylesbury.
  • Solihull - Birmingham Moor Street.
  • Leamington Spa - stations to Stratford Upon Avon.

Rail replacement buses will operate as follows:

  • Aylesbury Vale Parkway - Bicester Village - Bicester North.
  • Hillingdon (LU) - Denham - Gerrards Cross - Beaconsfield - High Wycombe.
  • West Ruislip - Hillingdon (LU).
  • Warwick Parkway - Dorridge - Widney Manor - Solihull.
  • Warwick Parkway - Hatton - Lapworth - Dorridge - Solihull.

Passengers travelling between Marylebone, Bicester Village, Oxford, Banbury and stations to Birmingham should travel via Aylesbury Vale Parkway.

Passengers travelling between London, Denham, Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield and High Wycombe should travel via Hillingdon (using London Underground Metropolitan Line services to/from Baker Street).

IMPORTANT - LATE NOTICE ALTERATIONS:

For a period of approximately 3 hours between 18:00 and 21:00, Chiltern Railways will be unable to operate any trains between Marylebone and Aylesbury Vale Parkway (via Amersham). Most journeys to/from Marylebone will be affected by this, and passengers will need to travel via alternative routes during this period, including use of London Underground Central Line services to/from West Ruislip and rail replacement buses between West Ruislip and High Wycombe.
