New toilets at Dorridge station officially unveiled

The toilet facilities at Dorridge train station have been officially unveiled after Chiltern Railways carried out a refurbishment project.

The older facilities at Dorridge station have been replaced with new, modern and environmentally friendly systems including new toilet cubicles, new hand basins with sensor taps, and LED lighting. After consultation with the Friends of Dorridge Station (FODS), the floor in the female toilets has also been restored.

Following completion of the project, Piers Wolf, Chairman of Friends of Dorridge Station said:

“We are delighted that these improvements have now been carried out as the poor state of the toilets has long been a concern for FODS, and we are pleased that Chiltern Railways has listened to our concerns and dealt with the issue in such a positive way. We have a very productive relationship with the company and by working together we, and they, will continue to maintain and improve what is considered by many to be one of the nicest stations on the route.”

Alan Riley, Customer Services Director at Chiltern Railways said:

“Customer service is our top priority and we aim to provide a high standard of facilities at each of our stations. The refurbishment of the toilets at Warwick station is part of our continuous aim to provide the very best experience to our customers, and the LED lighting will save on energy and help us adhere to our sustainability goals.”
