Saturday 30 and Sunday 30 May 2026:
Amended timetables will be in operation, in respect of the following:
- Euston - Birmingham New Street route closure.
- Planned engineering works at Oxford (late night Saturday & Early morning Sunday). This is for routine maintenance.
- Wembley Stadium station CLOSED.
An enhanced Chiltern Railways service will operate between Marylebone - Birmingham Moor Street, with lengthened and some additional trains.
Due to over-length trains, Kings Sutton, Hatton and Lapworth will be served by rail replacement buses as follows:
- 🚌 Bicester North - Kings Sutton - Banbury.
- 🚌 Warwick Parkway - Hatton - Lapworth - Dorridge.
- These buses should be used for local journeys to/from Kings Sutton, Hatton and Lapworth ONLY.
Rail replacement buses will also operate between Leamington Spa - Warwick - Stratford Upon Avon Parkway - Stratford Upon Avon for both days, connecting with trains at Leamington Spa.
In connection with the Euston - Birmingham New Street route closure, no Chiltern Railways train services will operate between Marylebone and Aylesbury Vale Parkway (via Amersham). Rail replacement buses will operate as follows, connecting with London Underground Metropolitan Line services to/from Baker Street at Amersham.
- 🚌 Amersham - Great Missenden - Wendover - Stoke Mandeville - Aylesbury - Aylesbury Vale Parkway.
Additionally, the railway is closed between Oxford Parkway and Oxford after 22.55 on Saturday and before 08.35 on Sunday. This will affecting all late night and early morning services to/from Oxford. During this period, rail replacement buses will operate between Oxford Parkway - Oxford and/or Bicester North - Oxford.
At Wembley Stadium, Chiltern Railways is unable to serve the RFL Challenge Cup Final event on Saturday or the Women's FA Cup Final event on Sunday. No trains will call at Wembley Stadium station for the entire weekend.
Online journey planners have been updated for each of these changes.

For safety reasons, Wembley Stadium Station will be closed during the following event days:
- Rugby Challenge Cup – 30 May
- Women’s FA Cup Final – 31 May
Why are we doing this:
Engineering works between London Euston and Birmingham New Street means we need to increase the frequency and length of our trains between London Marylebone and Birmingham Moor Street on the above dates. As a result of this, our capacity is limited to serve Wembley Stadium Station for the events.
For safety reasons, Wembley Stadium Station will be closed on the above dates. Those travelling via public transport to or from Wembley Stadium should travel via Wembley Park underground station, or relevant bus routes.
