Travel advice for London Underground and West Midlands Trains customers

Travel advice for LUL and WMT customers

Due to a shortage of train drivers on West Midlands Trains and planned strike action on the London Underground, Chiltern Railways are working to help WMT and LUL customers complete their journey.

From Monday 2nd August, Chiltern will be putting in additional stops on some services due to a shortage of train drivers at West Midlands Trains. Of particular note, the 17.47 Marylebone – Birmingham Snow Hill service will become an all-stations stopper from Dorridge to Birmingham Snow Hill and will also call at Small Heath. These changes will be in place until further notice.

Additionally, due to the proposed London Underground strike taking place between Tuesday 3 – Friday 6 August, Chiltern have amended their train service and stopping patterns to assist customers who would usually take London Underground services. All Gerrards Cross to Marylebone stopping trains and all evening peak services serving inner London stations have been lengthened to help carry additional customers. Metropolitan Line services have also been lengthened, the 17.30 Marylebone – Aylesbury Vale Parkway will additionally call at Amersham and the 22.57 Marylebone – Aylesbury Vale Parkway will additionally call at Rickmansworth.

Some services may be busier than usual and customers are advised to check their journey before travelling.
