Storm Ciara - Chiltern Railways advises customers not to travel due to adverse weather

Chiltern Railways are advising customers not to travel on Sunday 9th February after the Met Office issued an Amber weather warning.

Storm Ciara is bringing rain and strong winds with gusts of 50 to 60 mph across may parts of the UK. Chiltern Railways is warning customers that in addition to the current extended journey times due to engineering works, trains to/from the West Midlands will arrive up to 50 minutes later and trains to/from Oxford and Aylesbury will arrive up to 15 minutes later. Disruption to services is expected throughout the day with trains being delayed or cancelled at short notice.

Any passengers with tickets for Chiltern Railways services on Sunday 9th February are advised that these will be also be valid for travel on Saturday 8th and Monday 10th February.

We expect to run a normal service on Monday 10th February, but customers should check their journey before travelling.
