Chiltern Railways advise customers not to travel this weekend due to severe disruption

Chiltern Railways are advising customers not to travel this weekend as services on the network will be severely disrupted.

No trains will operate between London Marylebone and Oxford or London Marylebone and Birmingham due to planned engineering works and the availability of rail replacement bus services will be extremely limited. Customers are strongly advised to check their travel plans for both Saturday and Sunday and should only travel if absolutely necessary.

Ticket acceptance will be in place with Great Western Railway, CrossCountry and on the Bakerloo line. Customers are advised to use bus replacement services between Leamington and Oxford for onward connections to London Paddington. Those wishing to travel to Bicester Village from London are advised to travel via GWR services to Oxford. Rail tickets will also be accepted on public buses between High Wycombe and Amersham to access services on the Metropolitan line.

We have issued this advice reluctantly and with regret but want our customers to know the extent of the disruption to services over the weekend.
