Advice for Bucks residents travelling on Chiltern line 22-30 July

Buckinghamshire residents who commute to and from railway stations between High Wycombe and Marylebone are advised to check the timetable for amended times during the Network Rail improvement works in the Oxfordshire area which start this Saturday 22 July and run through until Sunday 30 July 2017.

The railway upgrade, which will mean a nine-day closure of the line between Oxford, Didcot and Banbury, will affect train services operated by CrossCountry and Great Western Railway.

The Chiltern line will be unaffected by the closure, however regular commuters are advised that trains during this time are expected to be busier than usual, with some services being retimed to accommodate the increase in customers travelling to London.

Customers travelling from Marylebone to High Wycombe and stations in between from the hours of 1745 to 1930 are advised to check the timetable as trains back to Buckinghamshire have been changed and customers may need to board a train up to five minutes earlier than normal.
