Your ticket may be checked before, during, and at the end of your journey, we thank you for your cooperation whilst these ticket checks are carried out.
As a result of these checks, you may be questioned regarding any potential ticket irregularities and penalty fare notices can be issued. Please ensure you always have a valid ticket for your entire journey and expect to be checked.
Penalty Fares
When checks are carried out and ticket irregularities are discovered penalty fares can be issued. Checks are carried out regularly across Chiltern stations and as of August 2019 the following stations have issued the following number of penalty fares:
- Aylesbury - 27
- Birmingham Moor Street - 85
- Denham - 10
- Dorridge - 24
- Haddenham and Thame - 2
- High Wycombe - 8
- Leamington Spa - 21
- Solihull - 29
