Disruption - Friday 28 August 2026

Following an earlier evacuation of Marylebone station services have now recovered and we expect to run a near normal service from now and into the evening, with the exception of services than run via Amersham (along the Metropolitan Line).

Marylebone – Aylesbury (via Amersham) route

There is a very large fire near the railway between Neasden and Harrow. The impact is is that there are no Chiltern Railways services able to run between Marylebone and Amersham. The Jubilee and Metropolitan Lines are also closed through the area.

  • Customers for stations Amersham – Aylesbury are advised to travel to Aylesbury (via High Wycombe), from where a train shuttle service is planned to run between Aylesbury and Amersham (calling at all stations).
  • Ticket acceptance is also in place on Bus routes 1/1A between High Wycombe and Amersham and Route 41 between High Wycombe / Great Missenden and Amersham.
  • London NorthWestern Railway are also accepting tickets between London Euston and nearby stations, though bus opportunities back over to stations along our route are very limited.

Due to the serious nature of the fire, at this stage, we do not know how long the disruption will continue, however we expect it to continue in to the evening.

Customers who are delayed by 15 minutes or more should apply for Delay Compensation.

We apologise for the disruption to your day.
