Winter Weather Warning - Thursday 08 & Friday 09 January 2026 - Storm Goretti - Significantly reduced service on Friday 09 January

Customers should check before they travel today (Thursday 08 January) as services may be subject to disruption due to the weather warnings from 5pm this evening. Late night services may be amended at short notice.

Customers travelling with Chiltern Railways are advised that due to Storm Goretti, a significantly reduced service (50 per cent of normal timetable) will be in place on Friday 09 January.

There will be no Chiltern Railways service north of Birmingham Moor Street or on the line to Stratford-upon-Avon. Hatton, Lapworth, Kings Sutton, Sudbury Hill Harrow, Sudbury & Harrow Road and South Ruislip will also not be served on Friday. Rail replacement buses will not be in operation.

Rail replacement buses as follows:

Rail replacement buses will will operate on the route Marylebone - Amersham - Aylesbury Vale Parkway for the entire day, connecting with Metropolitan Line services to/from Baker Street at Amersham.
Rail replacement buses will also operate between Leamington Spa - Warwick - Stratford Upon Avon Parkway - Stratford Upon Avon, connecting with trains at Leamington Spa.
Bicester North - Kings Sutton - Banbury.
Warwick Parkway - Hatton - Lapworth - Dorridge.
These buses should be used for local journeys to/from Kings Sutton, Hatton and Lapworth ONLY.
