Your new timetable starts Sunday 13 December 2026
More services, more seats and more choice for your journey. From Sunday 13 December, we’re introducing 25 extra services every weekday and around 10,000 extra seats, giving you more options when you travel with us.
We update our timetable twice a year, but this December brings more changes than usual. Many train times will change, so please check your journey before you travel, even if you travel with us regularly.
Birmingham route: You’ll benefit from two trains an hour during the working week and more trains at weekends. More of our new Chiltern Explorer trains will be in service providing you with more First Class options and, for the first time, the opportunity to reserve selected seats when booking your train tickets.
Oxford route: You’ll have more services to choose from, alongside improved Class 168 trains - many of which already feature the refreshed external and interiors updates including onboard Wi-fi and access to plug sockets at every seat, the upgrade programme will continue into 2027, bringing these improvements to more of our trains.
Aylesbury (via Amersham) route: You’ll have two trains per hour during the working week, helping to make your commute to work more comfortable.
This is our first timetable change as a publicly owned railway. We’re focused on putting you first and working towards safe, reliable services you can trust.
