What's happening?

Network Rail will be carrying out late night engineering work in the Aylesbury area .

Who will be affected?

Customers travelling after 21.35 between Aylesbury and Aylesbury Vale Parkway will need to travel on rail replacement buses. Additionally, customers travelling between High Wycombe/Princes Risborough and station to Aylesbury after 00.20 will have rail replacement buses.

Advice to customers

Customers planning to travel on late night trains in the Aylesbury area should check their journeys before travelling. Customers are also advised that journey times will be longer than usual.

Friday 31st May

What's happening?

Network Rail will be carrying out engineering work over the weekend and to prepare for this the evening peak service is slightly amended.

Who will be affected?

The 18.12 Marylebone-Banbury service will terminate at Bicester North.

Advice to customers

Customers planning to travel to Banbury should aim to travel on an alternative service and check their journey before they travel. Customers are also advised that journeys may be busier than usual.

June

Saturday 1st, Sunday 2nd & Sunday 9th June

What's happening?

Network Rail will be carrying out engineering work over the weekend at Wembley Stadium and the line from Marylebone to Gerrards Cross will be closed. Due to these works, no trains will be able to serve the BTS World Tour at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 1st or Sunday 2nd June. 

Who will be affected?

All journeys will be affected, there will be a heavily-amended timetable in operation over the whole weekend. There will be no trains between Marylebone and Gerrards Cross and customers will need to travel on other operator's services, London Underground, or rail replacement buses. Customers travelling to see BTS will need to travel via alternative routes.

Chiltern Railways train services will operate as follows (in both directions):

  • 1 per hour Marylebone - Bicester North - Banbury - stations to Birmingham Moor Street (diverted via Aylesbury).
  • 1 per hour Gerrards Cross - stations to Birmingham Moor Street.
  • 2 per hour Gerrards Cross - stations to Oxford.
  • Periodic service Leamington Spa - stations to Stratford Upon Avon.
  • Periodic service Leamington Spa - stations to Birmingham Moor Street.
  • 2 per hour Marylebone - Aylesbury Vale Parkway (via Amersham).
  • 1 per hour Marylebone - Aylesbury (via Amersham).

Rail Replacement bus services will operate as follows (in both directions):

  • 2 per hour Aylesbury Vale Parkway - Bicester Village.
  • 2 per hour High Wycombe - Amersham.
  • 3 per hour Gerrards Cross - stations to Hillingdon/West Ruislip (London Underground connections).
  • 1 per hour Princes Risborough - stations to Aylesbury.

Advice to customers

Customers planning to travel this weekend should check to see how this work affects their journey. Customers should also allow additional time for their journey as there will be queueing systems in place at stations and journey times will be considerable longer than usual. Additionally, to reach their destination customers may have to travel on other operator's services, London Underground, or rail replacement buses. Please see routemap below for further details:
