Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 November 2025:
An amended timetable will be in operation, in respect of the following:
- Planned engineering works at multiple locations.
- (Track works at Sudbury Hill Harrow, over-night routine maintenance at Oxford and drainage works in the Banbury area on Sunday morning).
- Enhanced Amersham-line service.
- Islip station closed after 22.00 on Saturday and all day on Sunday.
The railway is closed between Wembley Stadium and Denham all weekend. Rail replacement buses will operate as follows, connecting with trains at Aylesbury Vale Parkway, Bicester Village, Bicester North, Gerrards Cross and with London Underground Metropolitan Line services to/from Baker Street at Hillingdon:
- Hillingdon (LU) - Denham - Gerrards Cross.
- Aylesbury Vale Parkway - Bicester Village - Bicester North.
- Some late night buses will be extended to/from Banbury.
Additionally, on Sunday the railway is closed between Bicester North and Leamington Spa until 13.25.
Until approximately 13.25 on Sunday, buses will be amended to run as follows:
- Hillingdon (LU) - Denham - Gerrards Cross.
- Aylesbury Vale Parkway - Bicester Village - Bicester North - Banbury - Leamington Spa.
- Bicester North - Kings Sutton - Banbury (for King's Sutton only).
In connection with the above engineering works, an enhanced service of 2 trains per hour will operate between Marylebone and stations to Aylesbury Vale Parkway for most of the day.
Additionally, the railway is closed between Oxford Parkway and Oxford after 22.55 on Saturday and until approximately 08.35 on Sunday morning, affecting all late night and early morning services to/from Oxford. During this period, rail replacement buses will operate between Oxford Parkway - Oxford and/or Bicester North - Oxford.
IMPORTANT:
Passengers travelling between Marylebone - Bicester Village/Bicester North and stations to Oxford/Birmingham should travel via Aylesbury Vale Parkway.
Passengers travelling between Marylebone - stations to Haddenham & Thame Parkway should travel via Hillingdon (London Underground).
Due to planned works on the station approach road, Islip station is closed after 22.00 on Saturday and all day on Sunday. During this period, no trains will call at Islip.
