Problem
London Underground have confirmed proposed strike action this week which is likely to have an impact on London Underground services from Tuesday 21 April through to Friday 24 April.
Impact
Chiltern Railways are expecting to run a normal timetabled service during this period of London Underground industrial action.
Currently we do not expect our services to be affected.
London Underground have shared detailed information on the anticipated impact that the industrial action will have on their services.
Advice
Customers wishing to travel using London Underground services should be aware that their journeys may be disrupted and that they may have to complete their journey using a different route to what was planned, or by using a different mode of transport.
Some Transport for London bus garages are affected by other localised disputes. Please check the TfL website for detailed information.
Other than as detailed on the TfL website, buses, the Docklands Light Railway and other Transport for London services are expected to run as normal, but may be busier than usual.

- This industrial action is happening from Noon on Tuesday 21 April until Noon on Wednesday 22 April and from Noon on Thursday 23 April until Noon on Friday 24 April. The impact on London Underground services will however be extended outside of these hours.

- Late on Thursday evening (23 April), three train services will call additionally at Wembley Stadium on the way to London Marylebone. This is due to an event taking place at Wembley area. After the event finishes, services are planned to leave Wembley Stadium station (for London Marylebone) at 22:11, 22:15, 22:34, 23:01, 23:05, 23:15, 23:59, 23:48 & 00:05.

- Am I able to get a refund on a ticket purchased to travel on any of the days affected by the London Underground industrial action?
- If you purchase any Ticket(s) and then choose not to travel, you may apply for a refund from the original retailer, unless the terms and conditions of your Ticket(s) state otherwise. You must do this prior to your Ticket(s) first becoming valid for travel. Refund requests submitted once the Ticket has become valid for travel will only be considered in exceptional circumstances where evidence of non-use or part-use is supplied, and must be submitted no later than 28 days after the expiry of the Ticket(s). In the case of part-used Tickets where a refund is agreed, a deduction will normally be made for travel already undertaken.
- Should I still buy a Seven Day (weekly) Season ticket?
- Customers should carefully consider whether it is cost effective buying a weekly season ticket for any period of industrial action as, depending on your journeys / travel patterns, it could be better for you to buy tickets to buy on individual days if indeed it is even possible to complete your journey.
- I have a season ticket valid for one month or more. What are my options?
- There are no special arrangements in place as Chiltern Railways plan to run a full normal timetabled service.
- What if I have a Flexi Season ticket to use on the strike day?
