Oxford Christmas Market: Saturday 22 November 2025 – Sunday 5 January 2025

Oxford’s city centre turns into a festive hub each winter, and the Oxford Christmas Market on Broad Street is the place to be in the city. There will be artisan stalls, live music, and family-friendly entertainment from late November through December. To arrive at the market from the train station, it is around 15 minutes from Oxford Station via Park End Street and George Street.

What’s Happening at the Oxford Christmas Market this Year?

Live Music and Entertainment

You will hear choirs, acoustic sets, and bands throughout the Christmas season, with a DJ compere keeping the vibe and energy up on busier days of the week. Street entertainment, including a Victorian stilt walker for the themed weekend, adds character. Stalls serve churros, hot chocolate, and mulled wine, and there’s a cosy bar area for quick warm-ups between sets. Performance schedules are published nearer the dates, but the atmosphere is reliably lively and welcoming for all ages.

Oxford 2025 Christmas Market Changes

After a refreshed format in 2024, the market retained its more traditional look with wooden stalls and a dedicated stage, while extending the festive period into late December. The 2025 plan continues the focus on handcrafted gifts and a stronger live music programme. Broad Street remains pedestrian-first, which makes browsing easier and safer during peak times.

Oxford Victorian Christmas Market: Thursday 13 November - Sunday 16 November 2025

The Victorian version of the market runs mid-November, bringing about 50 stalls, traders in costume, and a Dickensian vibe to Broad Street. Expect live music, a DJ set, and eye-catching street acts that work well for children who like movement and spectacle. It is free to enter, and it is a smart early season visit before the main market ramps up.
