Off-Peak Tickets

Looking to travel outside of the peak? Off Peak tickets are a great compromise between an Advance and an Anytime fare – you aren’t tied to a specific train but you’ll still get a great price as you’ll be avoiding the busiest periods.

For Off Peak Day Return tickets, you can travel back at anytime outside the peak period that day, while for Off Peak Return tickets, you can travel back at anytime outside the peak period within a month of the outward journeys.

• You can buy the ticket anytime before you wish to travel
• Trains are generally quieter than peak and anytime
• More flexible than advance fares
• Further savings if used in conjunction with a railcard

Restrictions

For journeys to and from London, there are typical commuter times that Off Peak tickets are not valid on our services.

Off-Peak journeys to and from London that are not valid on our service:

• Trains which are timed to arrive into London Marylebone before 1000 on weekdays.
• Trains which are timed to leave London Marylebone after 0429 and before 0830 for stations Bicester North/Village and south on weekdays. For journeys between London and stations Banbury and north, Off Peak tickets are still valid during this time.
• For stations which are within pay as you go with contactless area (High Wycombe and South towards London)  Off-peak restrictions apply on trains that are timed to leave before 09:30 Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays). These restrictions also apply on trains that are timed to leave between 16:00 and 19:00 Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays). This restriction applies to journeys from or via stations that are with London zones 1 to 9 and is reflected in journey planners. 

These tickets are refundable and amendable up to the date of departure, subject to an administration fee.
