Anytime fares are great for flexibility. They don’t need to be booked in advance (you can purchase just before you travel) and you aren’t fixed to a particular train time.
What types of Anytime tickets are there?
- Anytime Day Single - enables you to travel out at any time on the date you have chosen
- Anytime Day Return - enables you to travel back at any time on the date you have chosen
- Anytime Return - allows you to travel back at any time within a month
These tickets are refundable* and amendable up to the date of departure, subject to an administration fee.
* Please note: From April 1st 2026, refunds will only be permitted up until 23:59 the day before the ticket becomes valid. After this date, no refund will be given unless under exceptional circumstances. Please note that a £5 admin fee will be applied to your refund.
However, if you choose not to travel as a result of disruption caused by the rail industry, we will be able to apply for your refund up until 28 days after the tickets expiry date.
