Anytime fares are great for flexibility. They don’t need to be booked in advance (you can purchase just before you travel) and you aren’t fixed to a particular train time. Not only that, they enable a break of journey and there are no time restrictions for train ticket travel. This includes during peak train times. Finally, they are refundable* train tickets and amendable up to the date of departure, subject to an administration fee.
The differences between Anytime Day Single & Day Return and Anytime Return tickets?

*Please note: Refunds will only be permitted up until 23:59 the day before the ticket becomes valid. After this date, no refund will be given unless under exceptional circumstances. Please note that a £5 admin fee will be applied to your refund.
However, if you choose not to travel as a result of disruption caused by the rail industry, we will be able to apply for your refund up until 28 days after the tickets expiry date.
