Tickets And Fares

Welcome to the tickets and fares section of our website, where you will be able to find all you need to know about ticket options when travelling with us. See the links on the left to find out which option suits your needs the best.

Peak fares - completely flexible
Our full price tickets let you travel on any train, at any time. Come back up to a month later with an Open Return, or on the same day with a travelcard (which includes travel on London's buses and the Underground).

Off-peak fares - less flexible, but cheaper
Our off-peak tickets are available on trains that are scheduled to arrive in London Marylebone from 1000hrs Monday -Friday (no restrictions at weekends, public holidays or on trains departing from London Marylebone). Come back within a month with a Saver, or on the same day with a Cheap Day Return or travelcard.

Super off-peak fares - our cheapest rates at the quietest times of day
Previously known as 'Just 15', these tickets are available for a number of longer distance journeys on Chiltern Railways. Valid on trains scheduled to arrive into London after 1345hrs Mondays to Saturdays and leaving London after 1100hrs (except between 1559-1959hrs Mondays to Fridays). There are no time restrictions on Sundays. Return journey can be made the same day or within a month.

Special deals
We also have a number of special tickets and offers that can save you even more, particulalrly for families and groups. More details can be found on the navigation bar on the left hand side of this page.

Save time and buy online - the great way to collect train tickets
By far the easiest and quickest way to buy your train ticket is to purchase online. And with the new 'Ticket on Departure' facility, there's no need to wait for the post - just pick up your tickets from one of the self-service 'FastTicket' machines at any Chiltern staffed station:

Here's how:

1. Buy your tickets online.
2. Choose to collect them from your local station's self-service FastTicket machine.
3. Before you commence your journey, go to the machine with your credit/debit card you used to buy your tickets online. Press the "Collect - touch here to collect previously bought tickets" button, which is on the screen, and insert your card when asked to do so (you may also need the special code you were given when purchasing your tickets at this point too).
4. Your tickets will now be printed.
5. Go to your train, sit down and Relax.

The stations offering this facility are:

Aylesbury, Banbury, Beaconsfield, Bicester North, Birmingham Moor Street, Denham, Gerrards Cross, Great Missenden, Haddenham & Thame Parkway, High Wycombe, Kings Sutton, Leamington Spa, London Marylebone, Monks Risborough, Princes Risborough, Saunderton, Seer Green & Jordans, Stoke Mandeville, Warwick, Warwick Parkway, Wembley Stadium, Wendover and West Ruislip.
