Monday 6th May 2024:

An amended timetable will be in operation, in respect of the following:

  • Public Holiday (May Day).
  • Planned ASLEF industrial action (rest day work & overtime ban).
  • Euston - Birmingham New Street route closure.

IMPORTANT: ESSENTIAL TRAVEL ONLY IS ADVISED

We are advising passengers to travel only if their journey is essential, due to planned industrial action on the following neighbouring train operation companies: Avanti West Coast, London North Western Railway, West Midlands Railway, Cross Country and East Midlands Railway. Because of this industrial action, Chiltern Railways services are expected to be exceptionally busy.

Due to planned ASLEF industrial action on this date, a LIMITED SERVICE will be in operation, structured as follows:

  • 1 train per hour Marylebone - stations to Birmingham Moor Street (and vice-versa).
  • 2 trains per hour Marylebone - stations to Oxford (and vice-versa).
  • 1 train per hour Princes Risborough - stations to Aylesbury (and vice-versa).
  • Shuttle service Leamington Spa - stations to Stratford Upon Avon (and vice-versa) for most of the day.
  • 1 train per hour Marylebone - stations to Aylesbury Vale Parkway (via Amersham; and vice-versa).

No Chiltern Railways service will operate on the following routes/at the following stations:

  • NO SERVICE: Stourbridge Junction - stations to Birmingham Moor Street.
  • NO SERVICE: Northolt Park, South Ruislip, Denham Golf Club, Kings Sutton and Lapworth.

A severely reduced Chiltern Railways service will operate at the following stations:

  • SEVERELY REDUCED SERVICE: Warwick and Hatton.

Services on ALL ROUTES will finish earlier than usual - Please check your last trains carefully on the day.

LAST TRAINS FROM LONDON:

  • 22.02 Marylebone - Birmingham Moor Street.
  • 22.57 Marylebone - Aylesbury Vale Parkway (via Amersham).
  • 23.11 Marylebone - Oxford - Banbury.
  • 23.40 Marylebone - Aylesbury (via High Wycombe).

Finalised timetables are uploaded into online journey planners 9 weeks before the date of operation. Please check your journey in the planner at the following link: https://buy.chilternrailways.co.uk/. Any journey checked outside of this timescale may be subject to change; please double-check how these amendments are due to affect your travel plans. For some engineering works and special events at Wembley Stadium, timetables may be released closer to the date of operation.
