Sunday 5th May 2024:

An amended timetable will be in operation, in respect of the following:

  • Wembley Stadium event - National League Play Off Final (Bromley vs Solihull Moors - 15.00 KO).
  • Planned engineering works.
  • Euston - Birmingham New Street route closure.

An enhanced timetable will be in operation for most of the day, with additional Wembley Stadium stops in trains, and also some additional trains.

Additionally, the railway is closed between Great Missenden and Aylesbury all day. No Chiltern Railways train services will operate between Marylebone and Aylesbury Vale Parkway (via Amersham). Rail replacement buses will operate as follows, connecting with trains to/from Marylebone at Beaconsfield:

  • Beaconsfield - Amersham - Great Missenden - Wendover - Stoke Mandeville - Aylesbury - Aylesbury Vale Parkway.

The railway is also closed between Oxford Parkway and Oxford until 08.45, affecting all early morning services to/from Oxford. During this period, the following timetable alterations apply:

  • 07.30 Princes Risborough - Oxford terminates at Oxford Parkway.
  • 07.41 Oxford - Marylebone is CANCELLED.
  • 08.11 Oxford - Marylebone starts at Oxford Parkway (08.17).
  • 08.41 Oxford - Marylebone is retimed to depart at 08.48, and runs later throughout.

Before 08.45, passengers travelling to/from Oxford should use the following rail replacement bus services:

  • 06.50 Oxford - Bicester North, for connecting train forward to Marylebone.
  • 07.40 Oxford - Oxford Parkway, for connecting train forward to Marylebone.
  • 08.05 Oxford Parkway - Oxford.

In respect of the Euston - Birmingham New Street closure, an enhanced Chiltern Railways service will operate between Marylebone - Birmingham Moor Street, with lengthened and some additional trains.

Due to over-length trains, no trains will call at Kings Sutton, Hatton and Lapworth. Rail replacement buses will operate as follows, for local journeys ONLY to/from these stations:

  • Bicester North - Kings Sutton - Banbury.
  • Warwick Parkway - Hatton - Lapworth - Dorridge.

Unfortunately, northbound Birmingham services are unable to call at Warwick all day. Passengers requiring to travel to Warwick from the South or from Warwick to the North should travel as follows:

  • Marylebone - stations to Warwick Parkway - Warwick.
  • Warwick - Leamington Spa - stations to Birmingham Moor Street.

Late Notice Change: Due to unavailability of train crew, local trains between Leamington Spa and Stratford Upon Avon will be replaced by buses in both directions for the entire day.

Finalised timetables are uploaded into online journey planners 9 weeks before the date of operation. Any journey checked outside of this timescale may be subject to change; please double-check how these amendments are due to affect your travel plans. For some engineering works and special events at Wembley Stadium, timetables may be released closer to the date of operation.
