Friday 5th April 2024:

An amended timetable will be in operation, in respect of the following:

  • Planned ASLEF industrial action (rest day work & overtime ban).
  • Planned engineering works.

IMPORTANT: No trains will call at Wembley Stadium all day today. Please do not attempt to use Chiltern Railways services to travel to the event taking place at Wembley Stadium this evening.

IMPORTANT: Essential Travel Only - We are advising passengers to only travel if the journey is essential due to industrial action (strike day) affecting the following train operating companies:

Avanti West Coast, East Midlands Railway, London NorthWestern Railway, West Midlands Railway and CrossCountry.

Due to planned ASLEF industrial action on this date, a LIMITED SERVICE will be in operation, structured as follows:

  • 1 train per hour Marylebone - stations to Birmingham Moor Street (and vice-versa).
  • 2 trains per hour Marylebone - stations to Oxford (and vice-versa).
  • Shuttle service Leamington Spa - stations to Stratford Upon Avon (and vice-versa) for most of the day.
  • 1 train per hour Marylebone - stations to Aylesbury Vale Parkway (via Amersham; and vice-versa).

Some additional services will operate during the morning and evening peak periods.

No Chiltern Railways service will operate on the following routes/at the following stations:

  • NO SERVICE: Stourbridge Junction - stations to Birmingham Moor Street.
  • NO SERVICE: Sudbury & Harrow Road, Sudbury Hill Harrow, Wembley Stadium, Northolt Park, South Ruislip and Kings Sutton.

A reduced/severely reduced Chiltern Railways service will operate at the following stations:

  • REDUCED SERVICE: Warwick (Northbound).
  • SEVERELY REDUCED SERVICE: Denham Golf Club.

Services on ALL ROUTES will finish earlier than usual - Please check your last trains carefully on the day.

LAST TRAINS FROM LONDON:

  • 22.02 Marylebone - Birmingham Moor Street.
  • 22.57 Marylebone - Aylesbury Vale Parkway (via Amersham).
  • 23.11 Marylebone - Oxford - Banbury.
  • 23.26 Marylebone - Aylesbury (via High Wycombe).

In respect of planned engineering works, the railway is closed between Princes Risborough and Aylesbury between 08.30 and 20.30. During this period, rail replacement buses will operate as follows, connecting with trains to/from Marylebone at Princes Risborough:

  • Princes Risborough - Little Kimble - Aylesbury.
  • Princes Risborough - Monks Risborough.

Finalised timetables are uploaded into online journey planners 9 weeks before the date of operation. Please check your journey in the planner at the following link: https://buy.chilternrailways.co.uk/. Any journey checked outside of this timescale may be subject to change; please double-check how these amendments are due to affect your travel plans. For some engineering works and special events at Wembley Stadium, timetables may be released closer to the date of operation.
