Saturday 3rd February 2024:

An amended timetable will be in operation, in respect of the following:

  • Planned MAJOR engineering works.
  • ASLEF industrial action - overtime & rest day work ban.

The railway is closed between Northolt Park and Saunderton all day, affecting all High Wycombe-line services to/from Marylebone, including Bicester Village, Oxford and Birmingham services.

A heavily-amended timetable will be in operation throughout the day, structured as follows:

  • 1 train per hour Bicester North - stations to Birmingham Moor Street (and vice-versa).
  • 1 train per hour Princes Risborough - stations to Oxford (and vice-versa).
  • 1 train per hour Princes Risborough - stations to Aylesbury (and vice-versa).
  • 2 trains per hour Marylebone - stations to Aylesbury Vale Parkway (via Amersham; and vice-versa).
  • Reduced service Leamington Spa - stations to Stratford Upon Avon.

Rail replacement buses will operate as follows:

  • Aylesbury Vale Parkway - Bicester Village.
  • Aylesbury Vale Parkway - Bicester North.
  • Bicester North - Bicester Village.
  • Hillingdon (LU) - Denham - Gerrards Cross - Beaconsfield - High Wycombe - Saunderton - Princes Risborough.

Passengers travelling between Marylebone - Bicester North and stations to Birmingham should travel via Aylesbury Vale Parkway.

Passengers travelling between Marylebone - Bicester Village and stations to Oxford should travel via Aylesbury Vale Parkway.

Passengers travelling between Marylebone - West Ruislip and stations to Haddenham & Thame Parkway should travel via Hillingdon (LU), using London Underground Metropolitan Line services to/from Baker Street.

No Chiltern Railways services will call at Wembley Stadium, Northolt Park, South Ruislip, Denham Golf Club and Seer Green & Jordans.

In respect of the planned ASLEF industrial action, many services will finish earlier than usual, and some late night services to Oxford and Banbury will be replaced by extended buses from Aylesbury Vale Parkway.

Any journey checked outside of this timescale may be subject to change; please double-check how these amendments are due to affect your travel plans. For some engineering works and special events at Wembley Stadium, timetables may be released closer to the date of operation.
