Booking with us has changed

We have completely transformed our ticket booking experience making it even quicker and easier to find the best value fares.

Our app is currently undergoing its own transformation which we will reveal early 2018. But don’t worry until then our existing app will be available as usual.

What’s changed?

We want to make your journeys as easy as possible – we want you to have a hassle free experience, from when you find your train times, book your tickets, at our stations, and onboard our trains.

That’s why we’ve created a brand new online experience that’s clearer, faster and sleeker. You’ll easily fine the best value fares and purchasing your ticket is a doddle.

We’ve tried to make this as simple as possible, it will only take a few moments and will save you time when making future bookings.

Don’t worry, you can still retrieve any ticket purchases made using our old booking site by logging into tickets.chilternrailways.co.uk or by using our app.

New Features

Here are some of the features you can now enjoy on our brand-new site:

  • Cheapest fare indicator – we’ll always display the best value fare first, helping to reduce the cost of your travel
     
  • Save your preferences to an account – seat preferences etc will be saved, making it quicker and easier to book your next journey 
     
  • Full access to ‘my account’ via your mobile – no need to go onto a desktop to make changes
     
  • Groupsave discount – this will automatically be applied when you buy via your mobile, making sure you always get the best value
     
  • Business Zone upgrade – you will now be able to do this online so now you can reserve your seat 
     
  • Passenger Assistance – you’ll be able to book this through our mobile site now too 
     
  • Season Tickets – now also available via our mobile site so you can make your purchase on the move

Use our App?

Our new app will be launched shortly. At launch if you have already re-registered on our new website once launched, you’ll simply download our new app from the app store once launched and use the same login details to access your account. 

You will need to download our new app, simply download it from the relevant App Store. 

Don’t worry, if you have booked tickets via our existing app before the new app launches you will still be able to retrieve any ticket purchases until 29th December by using the existing Chiltern app or logging into tickets.chilternrailways.co.uk 

Our app is compatible with all iOS and Android devices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will my account still work or do I need to re-register ?

A: To make a booking on our new mobile and desktop site you will need to re-register for a new account at chilternrailways.co.uk. This should only take a few moments.  

Q: What will happen to any booking I made on your old site now that you’ve launched your new site ? 

A: Don’t worry, you can easily access your ticket and journey details by logging into tickets.chilternrailways.co.uk  for any journeys booked for travel up to 29 December 2017.

Q: My booking was made via the Chiltern Railways app. Can I still retrieve my booking from your app ?

A: Yes. You can retrieve your ticket and journey details for any journeys booked for travel up to 29th December 2017. 

You will need to retain the existing app on your mobile device until you have completed all journeys booked via this app.

We will not be transferring bookings and tickets over from the old app to the new app


Q: When is your new app launching ? 

A: It’s launching shortly. Please check online as we will publish the launch date nearer the day of launch.

You will need to download our new app from the relevant app store.

If you have already re-registered your account details on our website, you can use the same login so you are already to use the app immediately.

If you have made any bookings to travel up to 29 December 2017 via our old app, you will need to keep the app on your phone so that you can retrieve your tickets.

We will not be transferring bookings over from the old app to the new app.
