Chiltern Railways has been accredited with the ‘We’re Good To Go’ seal of approval from Visit Britain.
“We’re Good To Go” is a UK wide industry standard mark aimed at reassuring customers that a business adheres to Government and public health guidance and has been developed in partnership with Visit England, Visit Wales, Visit Scotland and Tourism Northern Ireland.
The accreditation means that Chiltern Railways customers can be assured that the train operator is adhering to Government and public health guidance, has carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and has the required processes in place.
Chiltern Railways recently announced the introduction of ‘Deep Cleanse’ teams. These teams are now in place at several stations including London Marylebone, Aylesbury, Oxford and Birmingham Moor Street to clean services before they depart – these include any objects or areas that may have been touched by individuals during a journey. As well as additional deep cleaning, the train operator have installed hand washing facilities at Marylebone station in order to help customers maintain good hand hygiene while travelling on public transport and introduced one-way systems and entry and exit only access in some stations.
Mary Hewitt, Interim Managing Director for Chiltern Railways said, “We’re delighted to receive the ‘We’re Good To Go’ accreditation and hope it provides customers with the knowledge that the railways are safe to use with appropriate procedures having been implemented including social distancing measures and the highest standards of cleanliness at stations and onboard our services. I would encourage customers to stay safe while travelling on public transport and wear a face covering if they are not exempt on medical grounds.”
