Bicester Village footbridge refurbishment

Network Rail are resurfacing the footbridge at Bicester Village station on Sunday 20 and Monday 21 August 2017. The footbridge and lifts will be closed during this time and will re-open in time for the first train on Tuesday morning.

On Sunday 20 August:

ALL trains will arrive at and depart from platform two. Platform two can be accessed as usual via the station building, as can Bicester Village Shopping entrance, which is also located off platform two. Flat route access is available for customers with mobility impairments.

On Monday 21 August:

Trains will arrive at and depart from both platform one and two, but customer cannot access either platform via the footbridge or lifts.

Platform one advice:

  • Customer arriving at the station for trains from platform one (to Oxford), can access the platform via a mini bus shuttle from the front entrance of the station. This will take customers around the corner to the station car park on London Road, from which you can access platform one.
  • Customers arriving into platform one who wish to exit the station can do so via the London Road car park located at the end of the platform one.
  • Customers arriving into platform one who wish to access platform two, or go shopping at Bicester Village, can board the mini bus located in the London Road car park, which will take you  to the front entrance of the station. From there passengers can walk through the station to platform two/Bicester Village Shopping Outlet.

Platform two advice:

  • Customers arriving at the station for trains from platform 2 (to London) can access this platform as usual via the station building/side gate entrance.
  • Customers arriving into platform two who wish to exit the station, can do so as usual.
  • Customers arriving into platform two who wish to access platform one can board the mini bus located at front entrance of the station which will take you to London Road car park, from which they can access platform one.
