5th October 2017

Thursday 5th October 2017:

Following the news that the planned industrial action on London Underground has been cancelled Chiltern Railways has confirmed the service that will be provided on 5th October 2017.

On the Aylesbury via Amersham line trains were only planned to stop at stations south of Amersham between the hours of 9.00 and 16.00. Following the cancellation of the industrial action, trains will now call at all stations as per the regular timetable.  Please note that, due to the late change, these services may not be shown in customer information systems.

Chiltern Railways is not able to offer a service to/from Wembley Stadium station after 1600.  For large scale Wembley events such as this we schedule extra services and additional stops are made at the station.  The final deadline for changes to our service plan was Monday 2nd October and at this point, on the understanding the underground strike was going ahead, the decision was made not to call at Wembley Stadium station – because neither our services nor the station would be able to safely accommodate the expected significant increase in passengers (due to the expected strike action). Unfortunately this decision cannot be altered in the short timescales available.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
