AC/DC are playing at Wembley stadium. Some services will be retimed and some services will call additionally at Wembley Stadium station.

Normal service. No planned alterations.

No planned alterations. A bus service will replace trains everyday whilst rebuilding works take place on this route.

Birmingham - Stratford-upon-Avon - Banbury - High Wycombe - London Marylebone:


No trains will depart from/arrive into London Marylebone.  All trains will depart from/terminate at London Paddington.


The line is also closed between Gerrards Cross and Banbury until approx 1100.  In addition, due to the length of trains, we are unable to call at Lapworth, Hatton and Kings Sutton stations. A mini bus shuttle service will serve these stations throughout the day.  No trains will call at South Ruislip or Northolt Park all day. 


Aylesbury Vale Parkway - Amersham - London Marylebone:

Normal service. No planned alterations.


Oxford - Islip - Bicester Town:

Normal service:No planned alterations. Until Autumn 2015 a bus service is replacing trains every day whilst rebuilding work takes place on this route.

A tube strike is planned from 18:30 on Wednesday 8 July that will affect London Underground services from early evening 8th July to the end of service on the 9th July.


If the strike goes ahead, Chiltern Railways services will be affected on the route to London from Aylesbury via Amersham and at London Underground managed stations that we serve. 


It will not impact on our Aylesbury via High Wycombe services but we are likely to be busier than normal.  


An overview of our service is available below and we will provide further information later today: 


WEDNESDAY 8th JULY



  • Aylesbury via Amersham line - We will run normally, however will need to close earlier than normal on the Aylesbury line via Amersham due to the availability of London Underground signallers.


  • Later trains will go to Aylesbury via the High Wycombe line and we will run shuttles between Aylesbury and Great Missenden.


  • Birmingham - Banbury - High Wycombe - London Marylebone line  - This line (which also runs services to Aylesbury via High Wycombe) will operate as normal. 

THURSDAY 9th JULY



  • Aylesbury via Amersham line - The train service will run normally from around 0930.  In the early morning, trains from Aylesbury will run via High Wycombe with two shuttles connecting passengers from Great Missenden to Aylesbury.  From around approx 07:00, services from Aylesbury will run non-stop from Great Missenden.  After approx 09:30, services will run as normal and this will continue until the end of the day.


  • Birmingham - Banbury - High Wycombe - London Marylebone line  - This line will operate as normal.  We have added additional carriages wherever possible to support the expected increased passenger volumes.

Birmingham - Stratford-upon-Avon - Banbury - High Wycombe - London Marylebone:


Due to a concert at Wembley Stadium  we have made some changes to our train service. This is to allow us to provide extra capacity to Wembley as efficiently as possible, whilst ensuring that there is minimal disruption to our regular passengers:


The following evening peak services will be amended: 



  • 1654 Marylebone to Aylesbury will terminate at Princes Risborough, with a connection to Aylesbury (dep Princes Risborough at 1755).


  • 1727 Marylebone to West Ruislip extended to Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield and High Wycombe


  • 1736 Marylebone to High Wycombe will NOT run


  • 1829 Marylebone to West Ruislip extended to Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield and High Wycombe


  • 1836 Marylebone to High Wycombe will NOT run

The following trains will be formed of fewer carriages than normal:



  • 1650 Marylebone to Bicester North will be formed of 3 coaches instead of 4


  • 1724 Marylebone to Bicester North will be formed of 2 coaches instead of 3


  • 1747 Marylebone to Birmingham Snow Hill will be formed of 6 coaches instead of 7


  • 1850 Marylebone to Bicester North will be formed of 4 coaches as normal but it will be a different type of train which has fewer seats per carriage


  • 1853 Marylebone to Princes Risborough will be formed of 2 coaches instead of 3

The following trains will have more carriages than normal:



  • 1636 Marylebone to High Wycombe will be formed of 4 coaches instead of 2

Please also check times if you are travelling out side of peak times.


Aylesbury Vale Parkway - Amersham - London Marylebone:

A normal service will run with a few alterations to the length of some trains .


The following trains will be formed of fewer carriages than normal:



  • 1730 Marylebone to Aylesbury Vale Parkway will be formed of 2 coaches instead of 3


  • 1811 Marylebone to Aylesbury will be formed of 4 coaches instead of 5 


  • 1843 Marylebone to Aylesbury will be formed of 3 coaches instead of 4


  • 1859 Marylebone to Aylesbury Vale Parkway will be formed of 2 coaches instead of 3

The following trains will have more carriages than normal



  • 1832 Marylebone to Aylesbury Vale Parkway will be 4 coaches instead of 3

Oxford - Islip - Bicester Town:

The line is closed between Princes Risborough and Leamington Spa all day. Trains will run between Marylebone and Princes Risborough.  A non stop bus replacement service will operate between High Wycombe and Leamington Spa.  Stopping buses will operate between Princes Risborough and Leamington Spa. 


Additional trains will run for the Ed Sheeran concert but please be aware that the last connection for stations beyond Leamington Spa will be around 22.00 from Wembley Stadium with a bus connection at High Wycombe.


Aylesbury Vale Parkway - Amersham - London Marylebone:

Normal service. No planned alterations.


Oxford - Islip - Bicester Town:

Normal service:No planned alterations. Until Autumn 2015 a bus service is replacing trains every day whilst rebuilding work takes place on this route.

The line is closed between Beaconsfield and Banbury until approx 11:30. Trains will run between Marylebone and Beaconsfield and between Banbury and Birmingham.  Bus replacement services will run between Beaconsfield and Banbury. A normal service will resume after approx 11:30. 


Please note, if you are travelling to the cricket game at Lords from north of Beaconsfield then we advise that you drive to a station such as Beaconsfield or Denham for trains to London. Please check your journey carefully before travelling. 


Aylesbury Vale Parkway - Amersham - London Marylebone:

Additional services will run between Marylebone and Harrow on the Hill due to London Underground line closure south of Harrow on the Hill.
