‘Txt 2 Mobile’ E-Day is now available as a ‘mobile ticket’ - a first for the UK rail industry. You’ll receive your ticket in the form of a barcode sent directly to your mobile phone by SMS text message.

After you have paid for your ticket/s, you should receive a SMS or WAP push message (depending on which phone you have). Most messages will contain a square barcode, this can be scanned at the gates in London Marylebone. Some phones will receive a message which contains text only, but don't worry our staff will be happy to let you through the gates. If you do not receive your barcode, email us and we will resend it for you.

Our staff on board the train will be able to check your ‘mobile ticket’ with unique barcode scanners. When arriving or departing at Marylebone, you'll need to scan your ticket to enter or to exit the platforms. When travelling alone, you can scan your own ticket at the designated ticket gate; if your barcode is for 2 or more people, our staff located at the 'wide aisle' ticket gate will be happy to let you through.

'Print @ Home’ tickets still available
You can still buy E-Day tickets via the original ‘print@home’ method on 4 trains each day. We’ve also made the booking deadline more flexible (1800hrs the day before travel). However, for the greatest choice (up to 24 trains a day), just select the ‘txt2mobile’ option.

• You can only travel on the specific train on the specific date detailed on your ticket. Failure to do so may result in a Penalty Fare being issued.
• E-day tickets are non-refundable.
