Transport for London’s Oyster Card can be used in 2 ways:
1. As a Travelcard Season Ticket valid for 1 or more London Fare Zones. This can be used for travel between any National Rail station within the Zones and Dates for which the Oyster Travelcard is valid. Please note that the London Fare Zones Area boundaries on Chiltern Railways are West Ruislip and Amersham.
2. As pre-payment for any journey on London Underground, London Buses and DLR, and for a limited number of National Rail journeys. Journeys on Chiltern Railways that can be made using pay as you go are those between Amersham and London Marylebone (and all intermediate stations) and those between West Ruislip and London Marylebone (and all intermediate stations).
Oyster pay as you go can NOT be used to pay for any other journeys on Chiltern Railways. Tickets for journeys using Chiltern Railways services, to stations other than those mentioned above, must be purchased before boarding the train, unless no ticket purchase facilities are available. Penalty Fares apply.
