Bicester Taxibus collecting passengers in the morning peak.Bicester Taxibus

The Bicester Taxibus introduces a new timetable on Monday 19th May in response to passenger feedback and to accommodate changes in our Summer timetable.

The Taxibus is a regular, reliable Rail link service designed to be easier and cheaper than driving to Bicester North Station.

It runs Monday to Friday in peak times following a set route between Bure Park, Greenwood and Langford Village to meet key trains to London Marylebone. You are also welcome to ‘hail and ride’ as long as this is done in a safe place for it to stop. In the evening peak the Taxibus meets key trains arriving from London Marylebone to take you home again. Passengers using the station can also take advantage of the Taxibus during off peak times by calling 01869 32 35 35.

Fares for the Bicester Taxibus are as follows:
• Single - £2
• Day Return - £3
• 7 Day Season Ticket - £12
• Annual - £480

Children (15 years old or under) £1 per single journey, £2 return. Season tickets are available from Bicester North ticket office. You can also buy through tickets from most stations on the National Rail network to the Taxibus. There are no railcard discounts on the Taxibus.

Bicester Village Shuttle Bus

We also run a shuttle bus between Bicester North and the Bicester Village retail outlet. The bus runs at 15 minute intervals between 0845 - 1700 from Bicester North station to Bicester Village and between 0900 - 1930 from Bicester Village back to the station (up to 2030 on late closing days). Through train/bus tickets are available from any ticket office.

The fare for the Bicester Village shuttle to/from Bicester North station is £4 for a Day Return.

There are no Railcard or Child discounts available on the Bicester Taxibus or the Bicester Village shuttle buses. However, at off-peak times, 2 children travel FREE when accompanied by a fare paying passenger.

Chiltern carshare
If you need to travel by car to the station, car sharing is a simple way to reduce congestion and pollution as well as being an easy way to save money. We've teamed up with Liftshare, a social enterprise set up in 1997, to set up a new scheme for each of our stations - simply click here for your local scheme to find other people making the same journeys as yourself. Although primarily aimed at car users, you can also find people to keep you company on your walk or cycle ride to the station!
