Chiltern Railways have been awarded the ‘Silver Award for Payroll Giving’ for their employees commitment to charitable giving.
The Payroll Giving Awards symbolise excellence, recognising those employers and employees that are making a difference together through Payroll Giving and benefiting good causes alike.
The silver award is an award of excellence presented every year to those companies who have succeeded in generating sustainable income sources for UK charities through Payroll Giving.
Linda Bantham, Payroll & Processing Manager said: “We’re very pleased that our employees have been recognised for contributing from their salary to Payroll Giving.
“If you would like to donate to your favourite charity this is a great way to do so as Payroll Giving donations are deducted before tax so each £1.00 you give will only cost you 78p, and if you're a higher rate tax payer it will only cost you 60p."
