2FOR1 Hadrian Exhibition tickets at the British MuseumA special 2FOR1 offer for Rail Passengers is available in limited numbers for the Hadrian Exhibition at the British Museum, open until 26 October 2008, and exploring the life, love and legacy of Rome’s most enigmatic emperor.
Ruling an empire that comprised much of Europe, Northern Africa and the Middle East, Hadrian was able to realign the borders of the Roman Empire, quash revolts, and stabilise the whole territory.
Hadrian had also a great passion for architecture and Greek culture: the Pantheon in Rome, his villa Tivoli, the city of Antinopolis, were all part of his extensive building programme.
With many objects from 28 museums worldwide, as well as finds from recent excavations, this exhibition is one not to miss.
Late openings also take place on Thursdays and Fridays until 20.30 (last entry 19.20), it makes it all a wonderful way to unwind in a refined environment after a day’s work.
