Lesley Knight, PA from Buckinghamshire, has been named as the winner of the 14th annual ‘Britain’s Next Top PA’ Awards.
Lesley, who is PA to the Chairman of Chiltern Railways, beat more than 200 entrants to be named as one of six finalists in the competition.
Lesley has been instrumental in the growth and success of the company, which has invested over 500 million in improving the railway since the beginning of the franchise. She has worked for the company for nearly 14 years and has even once had a locomotive named after her in a surprise presentation after 12 years working in the company.
The national awards run by Office Angels aim to recognise and reward the excellence of these crucial members of staff who support the smooth functioning of businesses. The judges were looking for excellence in a variety of areas including organisation, people skills and diary management. The finalists were presented with their awards by Helen Milligan, Apprentice runner-up and former executive assistant, at a ceremony in London last week.
Lesley Knight said: “It’s a real honour to be named as the winner of this award, especially as there was such a high standard amongst the finalists. I have learnt so much over the years working in such a fast paced company, so it’s great to receive this accolade.”
Adrian Shooter, CBE, Chairman of Chiltern Railways said: “I am delighted that Lesley’s hard work and dedication has been recognised for this top award. Lesley is a huge asset to the company and to our passengers.”
