ANSWER: The service operates through some very constrained infrastructure, we are looking at ways to improve the service.

ANSWER: The late evening service will be reviewed. The morning service is consistent with demand.

ANSWER: There is not sufficient line capacity for this, but we are currently reviewing options for offering a more frequent service.

ANSWER: Trains are posted as early as possible.

ANSWER: There are no plans to change these in the December 2007 timetable but train lengths are reviewed every timetable change. However adding a carriage to one service does mean removing one from another service.

ANSWER: No, but readers will be installed so that Oyster can be used.
QUESTION: Warwick Parkway-London Marylebone journey times are too long. Some trains do it in 1 hour 30 minutes which is acceptable but others take 2 hours which is too long.
ANSWER: There is limited scope in the short term but in the long term infrastructure and rolling stock improvements may allow for timetable changes that will make this possible.
QUESTION: There is too much work on the Amersham line at weekends.
ANSWER: The current weekend London Underground infrastructure work is reduced by 50% in 2008.
QUESTION: Can we have the 0742 from Chorleywood reinstated? Also at this time of the year the lights need to stay on later/come on earlier at Chorleywood car park. Also the timetable on display still shows this train stopping at Chorleywood.
ANSWER: We will not be reinstating the Chorleywood stop as we need to protect journey time and capacity on the fast Aylesbury service whilst still providing Chorleywood with a half-hourly service. We will ask London Underground about the car park lights. We will also check this timetable display issue.
QUESTION: The 0540 from Warwick Parkway is fullish from Bicester, full from Haddenham and standing from Princes Risborough.
ANSWER: This train will remain as three carriages from the December 2007 timetable change but we will keep it under review to see how we can take a carriage off another service.
QUESTION: I would like a 1 hour journey time to Banbury as this was promised under Evergreen 2.

QUESTION: Why do the Amersham line trains always go from platforms 5 and 6?
ANSWER: These trains tend to leave as other trains are arriving and departing from that side of the station means there are fewer conflicts and so fewer delays.
QUESTION: Can we have more bike racks at Marylebone?
ANSWER: We have fairly limited space at Marylebone, but are looking at how we can improve our cycling offer.
QUESTION: Your rolling stock is showing wear and tear.
ANSWER: We currently have a programme to refurbish all the Clubman units which will be finished by the end of the year.
QUESTION: I would prefer a faster service to Aylesbury. A 1 hour journey time is not acceptable for a 37 mile journey!
ANSWER: We would too. Unfortunately the maximum speed along the London Underground section of line between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Amersham is just 60mph, with London Underground Trains which operate ahead of our services restricted to 50mph.
QUESTION: I want an extra train from Princes Risborough to London Marylebone between 0800-0900.
ANSWER: We are introducing an extra train in December. It departs Princes Risborough at 0849 with an arrival at London Marylebone at 0941.
QUESTION: The new timetable is not good enough for Beaconsfield passengers.
ANSWER: We are introducing extra non-stop trains to Beaconsfield in December at 1833 and 1936.
QUESTION: There needs to be consistency in ticket checking.
ANSWER: Random on board ticket checks have proven a very good way of tackling fraud. We are shortly going to install ticket barriers at more stations to help further with this.
QUESTION: We need catering on the first off-peak trains and around 1200/1300.
ANSWER: Catering was withdrawn from our off-peak services because it was very rarely used. There are no immediate plans to change this.
QUESTION: I want Clubmans back on the Aylesbury/Amersham line.
ANSWER: This is only done to move units to/from maintenance at our depot in Aylesbury. Clubmans have not proved popular on this Line as they have fewer seats.
QUESTION: Seer Green should have an hourly service on Sundays not 2-hourly.
ANSWER: This is restored in the December 2007 timetable.
QUESTION: The Sun affects reading of the main departure screen at Marylebone.
ANSWER: A new screen will be installed soon.
QUESTION: The trains on the Aylesbury via Amersham line are quite short between 1700 and 1800 and 1930 and 2000. What are you doing about this?
ANSWER: We currently have no spare carriages available to lengthen these trains. We are looking at options to acquire more carriages.
QUESTION: Can the Sudbury Hill Harrow stop be reinstated on the 1709?
ANSWER: Moving this to 1736 has performance benefits and has been popular with other users.
