Q: It is difficult to buy a ticket with a bike due to lack of space in the booking hall.
A: This will be made easier once the Self service Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) is returned to the front of the station (following vandalism).
Q: There does not appear to be any CCTV cameras on the cycle racks?
A: The camera is in a box on the side of the station canopy and has excellent images recorded which have helped identify previous bike thieves.
Q: When will Oyster cards be available from Beaconsfield as I can use them from Amersham?
A: Oyster is a Transport for London (TfL) product available at all TfL Stations, such as Amersham. The rail industry is considering how tickets will be retailed for the future; at present we have no plans to introduce Oyster or any other "smart card" product.
Q: There are potholes on the approach roads.
A: Network Rail will soon be resurfacing the approach road.
Q: Can the barriers be configured so that they are in the "exit" position when a train arrives from London?
A: Both barrier lines (southbound and northbound) have a Wide Aisle Gate which is always set to accept tickets from both sides of the barrier (first come, first served). The other barriers can also be configured flexibly. The Customer Service Manager will arrange for gates to be set in the "exit" direction in the evening peak where possible.
