Betrayal by Harold Pinter at the Civic Hall, Stratford-upon-Avon

March 24th - 27th, 2010

Harold Pinter's famous play Betrayal will be performed at the Civic Hall in Stratford-upon-Avon this spring.

Running from March 24th until the 27th, Betrayal will be performed by Second Thoughts, a community-based drama group. David Bradley, best known for his role as Argus Filch in the Harry Potter films, is the president of the group.

The group was set up by Alan Hawkins, a former member of the Cygnet Players, in 1983 and has produced numerous plays throughout the years.

According to Stratford-upon-Avon's Civil Hall website, Betrayal is regarded as one of Harold Pinter's best dramatic works.

"Betrayal features his characteristically economical dialogue, characters' hidden emotions and veiled motivations, and their self-absorbed competitive one-upmanship, face-saving, dishonesty, and self-deceptions," the website says.

This production will include performances from Penelope Peters, Richard Sandle-Keynes and Tony Homer and will be directed by Lucy Axworthy.

Tickets for Betrayal by Harold Pinter cost £9.50.
