BBC's New Generation Artists at Cadogan Hall

August 29th - 31st, 2009

Over the August bank holiday weekend more than 50 of the BBC's New Generation Artists will come together at the Cadogan Hall to celebrate the scheme's tenth anniversary.

New Generation Artists was set up by the BBC to nurture young talent and was launched by BBC Radio 3 in 1999.

At this year's 10th anniversary concert a selection of performers will present four hour-long concerts every day between Saturday August 29 and Monday August 31st.

Works by giants such as Haydn, Debussy, Beethoven and Bach will be played alongside some more contemporary compositions.

Tickets to each event cost between £5 and £15 and are available online – although bookings must be made in advance of the event.

The events are part of the BBC Proms, which will be held at various locations around the capital in July, August and September.

Classical music fans can travel to London for the concerts on Chiltern Railways.
