Spamalot still entertaining at the Palace Theatre

March 25th 2008 - April 01st 2009

Spamalot, the spoof musical based on Monty Python and the Holy Grail, is still entertaining audiences at London's Palace Theatre.

Showgirls, cows and killer rabbits all join the cast in the retelling of the story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.

Critics and audiences alike have been full of praise for the musical, with the New Yorker calling it a "no-holds-barred smash" and a reviewer from the Independent describing it as "a hysterical collision between the barking nonsense and bite of Python and the whole crazy shebang of US showbiz".

Before starting its West End run in October 2006, Spamalot enjoyed a hugely successful run on Broadway.

And its London stay is proving as big a hit among audiences, with tickets often booked out well in advance.

It seems sensible to book in advance, as tickets can now be bought for shows up to April next year.

Audiences from Birmingham and the Midlands who want to catch some laughs at the Palace Theatre can travel to London using Chiltern Railways' services.
