With so many different towns and villages, Buckinghamshire has a wide range of shopping opportunities for visitors. Here are just a few ideas.
Opening on the 13th of March is the Eden Shopping Centre in High Wycombe which boasts an exclusive collection of high street retailers such as House of Fraser, Marks and Spencers, BHS and Tesco all under one roof. The centre also features a cinema and restaurants and cafés to relax in after a hard day's shop. Best of all, the centre is only 500 yards from High Wycombe station so you can leave the car at home and let Chiltern Railways take you to the Eden Shopping Centre.
The charming market town of Amersham has a unique selection of independent shops and traders including antique dealers, gift shops and fashion outlets. The Maltings on School Lane has a range of workshops including a cabinet maker and a soft furnisher as well as an art gallery with many different objects for sale.
Home to the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Telling Centre, Great Missenden has all the shopping facilities you would expect from a rural village as well as some surprises including hand made jewellery, arts and crafts, florists and book sellers.
With its pedestrianised High Street, Chesham makes for a relaxing place to browse shops and boutiques. Each Wednesday and Saturday the High Street plays host to a market and on the last Wednesday of the month it hosts a popular farmer’s market.
