More about ticket types and restrictions

Anytime tickets
There are no restrictions on these tickets
An Anytime Ticket is valid for return travel on any train for up to one calendar month.
These are the most flexible walk-up fares: there are no time restrictions at all and are suited to people who need complete

Off Peak tickets
These cheaper fares are for travelling when it is less busy and have more restrictive times. On Chiltern Railways, Off-Peak fares are valid on trains arriving into London Marylebone after 1000; there are no further restrictions.

Advance
Buy in advance, specified trains (subject to availability)
Advance tickets are Single (one-way) fares offering great value for money on longer distance journeys. You must book in advance and your ticket is valid only on one specific train time on one specific day.
Buy advance barcode tickets and your ticket will be sent to your mobile phone or to your email address.
Railcard discounts apply to all Advance

Super Off Peak tickets
Chiltern Railways' Super Off-Peak ticket is available from any station between Kidderminster and Banbury inclusive for return travel to London Marylebone.
It is valid every day on trains scheduled to arrive into London Marylebone after 1130, leaving Marylebone anytime before 0630, from 0900 until 1600, or after 1900. No restrictions at weekends.
Restrictions apply even if you are travelling only for part of the journey.

Between the West Midlands and London and on longer distance journeys, other operators also price tickets which can be valid on our trains.
