Commuters from Banbury will be able to reach the capital in less than an hour for the first time. A typical train will take just 53 minutes to reach London.
London will become closer to Beaconsfield with commuters reaching London 22% faster than today.
Trains from the existing Bicester North station will reach London in less than 45 minutes - plus a brand new station at Bicester Town.
Trains will reach London from an expanded and upgraded Birmingham Moor Street in just 100 minutes - even less at peaks times. A new main line route for the Midlands!
Both peak and off-peak journey times will be reduced by 14% with brand new trains designed for faster acceleration.
Typical trains will reach London nearly a third faster, with a journey time to the capital of just 35 minutes. The perfect alternative to the M40.
London will become closer to High Wycombe, with commuters reaching London in just 25 minutes. That's 26% faster than today.
Dedicated brand new trains designed for fast acceleration will be introduced, built to the latest and highest standards.
Leamington Spa will be just over an hour from the capital, with peak time trains getting to London in 67 minutes.
Commuters will speed to London in just 32 minutes, down 22%.
Solihull will gain its best-ever connections to the capital, with fast trains reaching London in less than an hour and a half.
Warwick Parkway, already the ideal alternative to the M40, will gain fast trains to London taking just an hour and a quarter - over 20% faster than today.
Such big improvements will require a lot of work. In 2010 we will need to run different timetables on many weekends and on the occasional weekday. We have many free travel update tools to keep you up to date, however we will do everything we can to make it a reality as quickly as possible.
