Ongoing Qualified Train Drivers recruitment - Chiltern Railways are looking for customer focused, passionate and enthusiastic qualified Train Drivers to join our existing team of Drivers based at various depots including Marylebone, Aylesbury, Banbury, Stourbridge and Birmingham Moor Street Depot.
This role involves a high level of concentration and alone working majority of the working day. Driver positions are key posts within Chiltern with a lot of focus on delivering a scheduled passenger railway. This is a safety critical role which involves dealing with pressurised and emergancy situations requiring a high level of responsibility. Are you interested in becoming the next Engineering Apprentice? If the answer is "Yes" then look no further and read below;
Chiltern Railways has an established Apprentice training scheme to develop people to become skilled technicians to work on our diverse and growing fleet. The 4-years training scheme involves a thorough combination of college based learning and work based training leading to a recognised engineering qualification and experience.
The New apprentices will start work in September based in Aylesbury with an initial full time college course followed by a mix of work and day release to college. The initial training is undertaken in Aylesbury but apprentices have the opportunity to later base their training in North West London at our Wembley depot and LOROL's depot at Willesden.
The ideal candidate will have
* GCSE grade C's (minimum) in Maths, English and Science
* A recent school leaver
* An interest in train maintenance
*Enthusiasm
* A reliable character
* Physically fit (to Railway Group Standards)

Chiltern Railways are currently recruiting for Qualified Train Drivers based at various depots including Aylesbury, Marylebone, Moor Street, Stourbridge and Banbury. We operate from London Marylebone up the route to Aylesbury vie Amersham (along the Metropolitan line), we also go to Birmingham Moor Street, Stratford Upon Avon and Kidderminster with a new line opening to Oxford.
Chiltern deliver a safe, reliable and a professional service with a core focus on delivering an exceptional service for its passengers. Applicants must have experience and knowledge of driver rules and regulations with a flexible working approach. Applicants will be required to attend a safety critical medical to meet the requirement of Railways Group Standards.
