Ongoing Qualified Train Drivers recruitment - Chiltern Railways are looking for customer focused, passionate and enthusiastic qualified Train Drivers to join our existing team of Drivers based at various depots including Marylebone, Aylesbury, Banbury, Stourbridge and Birmingham Moor Street Depot.
This role involves a high level of concentration and alone working majority of the working day. Driver positions are key posts within Chiltern with a lot of focus on delivering a scheduled passenger railway. This is a safety critical role which involves dealing with pressurised and emergancy situations requiring a high level of responsibility. Chiltern are recruiting for 2 management graduate trainees to join in September 2014.
Our 18 month Management Training Programme will equip you with the skills and the practical experiences to become a great leader of the future. You’ll get to see everything from timetabling to train driving; fleet to finance; safety to service and management to pricing - plus other things else in between.
You’ll have plenty of exposure to many of the challenges that exist in a fast paced, customer focussed business like ours. Then you’ll spend time on some different challenges in another part of the Arriva group or rail-related business, before going on to take up your first management role in Chiltern Railways.
You’ll need to show us that you’re professional and people focussed, have enthusiasm to provide excellent customer service and that you’ve got the passion that makes our managers shine. In return, we’ll give you the freedom to manage your own development with the support to keep you on track and your own mentor. Of course, you will need to travel and you won’t mind staying away, but ultimately it’s up to you to demonstrate you’ve got what it takes to make the most of this great opportunity.
