We now have a team of British Transport Police solely dedicated to policing the Chiltern Railways line.
The team consist of a small group of police officers and community support officers based at London Marylebone.
They work to prevent crime and disorder on trains, stations and the local community around the railway.
British Transport Police Tips:
- Disguise expensive belongings - such as laptops - by not putting them in laptop bags.
- Never leave bags unattended.
- If you are a female alone and travelling at night, make sure you sit near the front of the carriage near the driver.
- If you are waiting for a train at night make sure you stand in a well lit area and near CCTV cameras.
- Walk with a purpose and with confidence - don't make yourself a victim of crime.
- If you are using mobile phones be aware of your other possessions.
- Don’t ever be afraid to report anything. If you don’t report it then we don’t know about it; and it could make a big difference.
You can report incidents online at www.btp.police.uk or phone 0800 40 50 40 (free call, 24hrs everyday).
Remember the BTP are here to help you!
